Hampstead, NH – Donald Gilbert Seely from Hampstead, NH passed on peacefully the morning of Thursday, June 25, 2020. Donald was 90 years old, just short of his 91st birthday in July. He resided and raised, with his wife Ruth R. Seely, a family of four girls in the charming town of Hampstead for over 50 years. He leaves behind a legacy of family, kindness, love of his wife, passion for outside activities including skiing, golfing, biking and traveling to quaint villages throughout New England. He is survived by his four daughters, Wendy McAuley, Suzanne Bowman, Heather Provencher and Pamela Jeffers and became the Patriarch for six grandchildren, Kie and Kendra Bowman, Kayla & Jocelyn McAuley, Travis and Evan Provencher and Hannah & MacLean Jeffers and 10 great-grandchildren. Don served in the U.S. Armed Forces and then went on to graduate from Boston University. He lovingly was dedicated to providing for and caring for his wife, Ruth. This was especially evident later in life when it became very challenging as she was battling memory loss. Don worked most of his career as a salesperson for Johns Manville building products in the New England area. He and Ruth faithfully attended the First Church of Christ, Scientist, 1 Boyd Road, Derry, NH. Don was a member of the church for 44 years in which he served on the Board of Directors, as President, First Reader and oversaw the solution to handicap access as Chair of House and Grounds. Any donations can be sent to the Church directly. We will be having a graveside service in September at the Hampstead Lakeview Cemetery on 89 Kent Farm Road.
The Brewitt Funeral Home in Exeter, NH is taking care of arrangements. Graveside memorial will be held in September at Lakeview Cemetery on 89 Kent Farm Road in Hampstead, NH.
