David G. Seeley

David G. Seeley, 73, of Wakeman, died Tuesday afternoon, October 14, 2008 at Fairview Hospital. He was born February 8, 1935 in Brighton Township and has lived in the Wakeman area since 1960. He was a 1953 graduate of Wellington High School.

He worked at Hopkins International Airport for American Airlines for 35 years as a Crew Chief. He also owned and operated George’s Repair Shop in Wakeman for many years. Since 1996 he has been volunteering his services to maintain the vehicles at Citizens Ambulance in Wakeman. He also volunteered his time for the Village of Wakeman including wiring the downtown park and renovating the new Village Hall. He was a member of the Wakeman Congregational U.C.C.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sherry (Prindle); his son, Craig of Wakeman; his daughter, Tracey Seeley of Wakeman; brothers, James (Vivian) Seeley of Rochester and Larry (LaVerne) Seeley of Elyria; sisters, Marge Funk of Brighton, Joan (Jarvis) Babcock of Rochester, Jean Gaylord, of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mildred (nee McConnell) Seeley.

Friends may call Friday, October 17, 2008 from 6 to 9 P.M. at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper St., Wakeman where services will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11 A.M. Rev. Edgar Shelly will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Citizens Ambulance or the Wakeman UCC.
