David E. Seeley

SEELEY — David E Seeley, age 62, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2007, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 12, 1944, in Buffalo, NY. He was a beloved father and a hero to his sons, Paul, Gregory (Shurie), and David John and his grandson, Haydn, the apple of his eye. He was a loving brother to his two brothers, John Seeley (Cheektowaga, NY) and Larry Seeley (Albuquerque) and five sisters, Mary Lou Schwartzberg (Dr. Stanley Schwartzberg, Ovid, NY), Sharon Frias (Joseph), Cheri King (James), Colleen Wall (Gary), and Elizabeth Seeley (Bob Haskins) in Albuquerque. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and their children, other relatives, and many friends. In addition to his parents, John Seeley and Mary Seeley Alonzo, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Seeley and Jim Seeley, and the mother of his children, Barbara Burke Seeley. David was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served his country. David was great leader and teacher to many who sought his help, and he left the world a better place. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. Private interment Services at Santa Fe National Cemetery are planned at a later date. A special thanks to the compassionate medical teams at Veterans Hospital (Dr. Reuben Last) and Presbyterian Hospice (Nancy Hostetler).
