Bonnie Lee Seeley

Born: November 04, 1962
Died: January 15, 2016

Bonnie Lee Seeley, devoted wife, loving mother and aunt, beloved sister, and strong warrior for Christ went home to be with Jesus on January 15, 2016. The wife of Daniel Seeley and mother of Aaron, Bonnie passed away in her husband’s arms and surrounded by family. Her husband, son, sister (Wendy), brother (Shawn), niece (Leah), and nephew (Peter) were at her side during her last days. Bonnie and Daniel were married for 31 years and she was born in Philadelphia, PA where she attended Little Flower High School and graduated in 1981. After graduation, she moved to Alexandria, VA and worked as a bank teller until 1984 when she met Daniel who was serving in the Marine Corps. She moved with him to MCAS Cherry Point, NC where she gave birth to Aaron in 1985. Daniel transferred to the Coast Guard in 1986 and the three of them were stationed in NY, CA, and eventually DC. Eventually, Daniel left the Coast Guard to work with a defense contractor then finally as a DOD Civilian with the U.S. Army.

Bonnie was diagnosed with brain cancer in October 2013. Until that time, Bonnie was recognized as a rising star among the Human Resource (HR) professionals at the Central Intelligence Agency. Bonnie loved her work because she was able to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Bonnie knew that when people came to HR, it was because of problems they needed help with and Bonnie loved to help people. Bonnie selflessly gave herself to others and made everyone feel important. She was devoted to Jesus and never stopped trusting in His love for her during her two-year battle with cancer. She told everyone she met that Jesus was working in her life and that Jesus wanted to work in theirs as well. Bonnie brought class everywhere she went. She had caviar taste on a spam budget, and made it work. No words can describe the impact she left. Bonnie will be sorely missed until we are reunited in heaven.
