Benjamin J. Seeley Sr., 661 N. Main Ave., husband of the former Margaret Jenkins, died Sunday at home after an illness.

Born in Willow Point, N.Y., he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elias Seeley and resided most of his life in this city.  He was a member of Trinity Congregation Church and the Royal Arcanum.

For many years Mr. Seeley conducted a grocery store on Lafayette Street, West Scranton.  In 1953 he retired as a master sergeant from the Army.

Surviving are his widow, two sons, Robert, this city, and Benjamin, Moosic; a daughter, Mrs. Ida Holubosky, this city; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a brother, William Yates, and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Ingram, both of Binghamton, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be from the Davies and Jones Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Ave., with services at 2 p.m. by the Rev. E.Lee Brehm, Simpson Methodist Church.  Interment Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.  Viewing, today, 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
