Beaulah Clara “Bea” Seeley
Oct. 6, 1905 – Sept. 13, 1997

Bea Seeley passed away on September 13, 1997, at the age of 91, after a short illness. She was born in Joplin, Missouri, on October 6, 1905. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Seeley, son David Seeley, grandsons Craig Seeley, David Seeley, and Charles Seeley. Survivors include her sister Helen Murray; brother James W. “Bill” Sawyer, both of Bakersfield; daughter and son-in-law Roberta and Edward Meade of Vero Beach, FL.; son and daughter-in-law Dale and Karen Seeley of Yuba City; daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Niles Dugan of Bakersfield; grandchildren Edward Meade III and Robert Meade of Vero Beach, FL., Keith Seeley of Ventura, Bobbee Moore and Mark Dugan of Bakersfield, Niles “Chip” Dugan of Tehachapi, Tena Beyer of Fortuna, Joy Cook, Kathy Seeley, and Dawn Seeley, thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Bea spent her life as a homemaker raising four children and three of her grandchildren. She was active for many years in the Women’s Home League of the Salvation Army as was her mother.

A special thanks to Dr. Zora Gill and the wonderful caring staff at San Joaquin Hospital.

A private celebration of her life will be held for family and friends at the home of Niles and Barbara Dugan.
