At a Thanksgiving day ceremony solemnized in the Messiah Evangelical Lutheran church here, Miss Eleanor Lehmann, daughter of Christian Lehmann of Merrill, Ia., became the bride of Ralph Seeley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Seeley of Appleton.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her cousin, A.L. Thrallkill of Appleton, wore a navy blue velvet street-length dress trimmed in white and carried a bouquet of sweetpeas and roses.

Her attendants were Mrs. Francis Baker and Miss Valma Marienan, both of whom came from Le Mars, Ia., for the wedding.  The wore wine velvet dresses trimmed in gold and their flowers were yellow orchids.

The groom was attended by his cousin, Bob Seeley, and by Orville Lehmann of Le Mars, Ia., brother of the bride.

Palms, white candles and bouquets of chrysanthemums decorated the church for the occasion.

The double-ring candlelight ceremony was performed at 4:30 p.m. by the Rev. M.E. Mayer.

Mrs. A.L. Thraillkill played the wedding marches, and Mrs. Mayer and Mrs. Michels sang a duet, “Marriage Song.”

The ceremony was followed by a reception at the home of the groom’s parents.
