SMITH – SEELY

Marriage of Miss Paige Seely, daughter of Mrs. Nettie L. Seely, Nescopeck, and the late Roland Seely, and John T. Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith, Mifflinville, took place at 3 o’clock September 18 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Nescopeck.  Rev. John Dietterie performed the ceremony.

Mrs. Albert Drasher was soloist and Miss Joan Gearhart accompanied her on the organ.

Matron of honor was Mrs. James Nagy, sister of the bride, of Alpha, N. J.  Kenneth Frank Mifflinville, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man.

The bride was attired in a blue silk afternoon dress with ice blue hat and accessories.  She carried a nosegay bouquet of bronze pompons.

The matron of honor was attired in a matching afternoon dress of champagne with gold accessories.  She carries a nosegay of bronze pompons.

A small reception was held at Char-Mund-in-the-Country, Orangeville, where dinner was served to 19 guests.  The couple then left on a trip.

The bride is a graduate of Nescopeck High School and Pennsylvania State College.  Prior to her marriage she was a home management specialist at the college.  The groom is a graduate of Juniata Joint High School and Pennsylvania State College.  He is York County agent with the Pennsylvania State College Extension Service.  They will make their home in York.
