Marie Seely, Mr. Firth Are Wed Thursday

In a simple double ring ceremony, Miss Marie Seely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Seely, Cypress street, became the bride of Granville Firth, son of Rev. and Mrs. H.H. Firth, Forest street, at 7 p.m. New Year’s Day in St. Paul’s Episcopal church.

Mr. Firth, pastor of the church, solemnized his son’s wedding before members of the immediate families.

For her wedding Miss Seely chose a coral silk print frock with a matching wool jacket.  Her accessories were black and she wore a single orchid on her shoulder.

Mrs. John Henkel, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.  Her choice of attire was gold crepe and she wore a corsage of yellow rose buds.

Dinner for the wedding party and guests was served at White House Inn.  The tiered wedding cake was flanked by tall white tapers.  Pink and white snapdragons in low bowls decorated the table.

After a short wedding trip, the couple will make their home on Ninth street.
