Cousin of bride carries her train

Maple Creek – Jean Burton, small cousin of the bride, attended as train bearer at the wedding which united in marriage Inga Kathleen, youngest daughter of Magnus Loseth, Maple Creek, and Douglas Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Seeley, Regina.  Rev. A.E. Swanaton performed the mid-afternoon, choral service, June 24, in the United church, Maple Creek.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a gown of white satin featuring an inset yoke with lace and pearl trim, and a full hooped skirt.  A beaded headdress held her flowing veil and a double strand of pearls completed her costume.  Her bouquet was of red roses.

Mrs. Norman Bullied, Moose Jaw, as matron of honor was gowned in floor-length pink satin.  She wore a matching veil and carried pink and white carnations.

Niece Attends

Bridesmaid, Miss Constance Sturm, Whitla, Alta., niece of the bride, chose blue net over blue taffeta for the occasion.  Her veil was matching hue and a blue tulle bow accented her bouquet of pink and white carnations.

Miss Burton was frocked in a short ruffled dress and her caplet was centered with yellow roses.

Best man was Norman Bullied, Moose Jaw, and ushers were Allan McTavish and Ed Stevens.  During the service “O Perfect Love” was sung by the choir and congregation, and during the signing of the register, Mrs. Dorothy Noon, Calgary, sang “O Promise Me” accompanied by the organist, Mrs. T.J. Winterton.

Church Reception

The reception was held in the church parlor where refreshments were served by the Senior W.A. members.  Arthur Myers was toastmaster.

Pink and grey accessories complemented the bride’s going away costume, a grey gabardine suit.  Her corsage was of pink roses.  On their return from their honey moon in Victoria, B.C., Mr. and Mrs. Seeley will make their home in Swift Current.

Out-of—town guests included:  Mrs. Mollie Thompson and Dave Kirby, Regina; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bullied and Mrs. K. Foote, Moose Jaw; Don Thomas, Hatton; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cooli, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Barnes, Medicine Hat; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sturm and Connie, Whitla, Alta.; Mrs. D.
