Mrs. Geneva A. Alexander, 78, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Woodhaven Baptist Church, with Dr. Tom Patterson and Rev. Kenny Vinson officiating. Entombment will be in Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road.

Born in Fort Fairfield, ME, Mrs. Alexander was a daughter of the late Clowes and Elizabeth Seeley and grew up in Northern Maine with two sisters, Christine Palmer and Leona “Lea” Forkel. She married Ken Ashman, Jr. and had three children, Debbie Ashman, Marie (Curtis) Hodges and Neil (Annette) Ashman. After the death of Ken, she married William “Bill” Alexander and had a son, Kevin (Tasha) Alexander. As her family grew, she had nine grandchildren, Curtis Ghent, Jr., Kenneth Ghent, James Greene, Elizabeth, Sarah, Rebekah and Robert Ashman, Kaleigh Roberts and Jonathan Alexander; and ten great-grandchildren, Alexis, Gavin, Destiny, Halie, Tristan, Alyvia, Emmalynn, Dalton, James and Roman.

She worked for Smith Enterprises for 12 years. She enjoyed spending time and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading. She was a member of Woodhaven Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm-8:30 pm on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Alexander’s name to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation, 17901 Hunting Bow Circle, #102, Lutz, FL 33558.
