RESIDENT OF SCRIBNER DIES

Mrs. Clara Bader Ill For Weeks

Mrs. Clara Bader, 73, a resident of Hooper and Scribner vicinities many years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fannie Van Horn, near Scribner Tuesday morning following an illness of four weeks.  She had resided in Dodge county since the death of her husband 27 years ago.

Mrs. Bader was born at Toledo, Ill., June 9, 1857.  Bore her marriage, she was Clara Seeley.  Her marriage to Asa Bader took place at Toledo January 20, 1877.  They moved to Nebraska in 1884 and for a number of years farmed in the vicinity of Araphahoe.  They also resided near Colon for a time and while there Mrs. Bader united with the Colon Presbyterian church.

Surviving are seven sons and daughters: Mrs. Cora Bishop, Hooper; Mrs. Della Linquist, Wahoo; John Bade, Fremont; Mrs. Elizabeth Van Horn, North Bend; Elmer Bader, North Bend, Romo Bader, Fremont; and Mrs. Fannie Van Horn, Scribner.  She also is survived by two daughters at Toledo, 27 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 12:30 from the Ed Van Horn home near Scribner and at 1 o’clock from the Scribner Congregational church.  Rev. K. Panborn, pastor of the Hooper Methodist church and Rev. Guy Birch, pastor of the Scribner Congregational church, will officiate.

Burial will be made at Wahoo.
