Dies Suddenly

Aged William J. Seeley Dies At South Branch Home

Funeral service for William J. Seeley, 83 year-old resident of South Branch, Galeton, R.D., who died suddenly at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 1946, of a cerebral hemorrhage while walking on Main Street in Galeton, was held at the White Funeral Home in Galeton, at 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 24.  The Rev. Carl A. Hills, pastor of the Galeton Baptist Church, officiated.  Interment was made in West Hill Cemetery, Galeton.

Mr. Seeley had been a resident in this vicinity for the past 45 years.  He was a native of New York state where he was born May 11, 1862.  His parents were Jacob and Arntina (Wilcox) Seeley.  He had been employed by the Buffalo and Susquehanna Railroad but for some years past had been on the retirement list.  He had also engaged in farming.

Immediate survivors are his wife, Mrs. Catherine Seeley, Galeton R.D., and two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Peterson and Mrs. Nellie Monroe, both residing near Corning, N.Y.
