Virginia M. Seeley, E. Marley Road, Jamestown, (Greene Twp.) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 9:20 am at the Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community with her family by her side. She was 80.
She was born in Meadville on August 10, 1937 a daughter of the late Homer W. and Cleo V. (Consider) Sheckler. She had been employed by PPG, Meadville retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Geneva. Known to her family and close friends as “Ginny Mae”, she lived a life that was dedicated to her family and to her God. She was filled with much love and laughter and anyone who met her loved her at once. She will be greatly missed by her family and her dog “Jett”, who she deeply adored.
Virginia is survived by a son, Randy Seeley of Atlantic; two daughters, Loretta Enterline and her husband Charlie of Jamestown and Kim Seeley of Conneaut Lake. Two sisters, Mary Lou Morrison and her husband Archie of Cochranton and Edna Horodyski and her husband Tom of Meadville; a brother Paul Sheckler and his wife Becky of Conneaut Lake. 7 grandchildren, Christopher Seeley, Jerry Hutchinson, Matthew Seeley, Shania Seeley, Theresa Jean and Tina Moss.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, William Sheckler, a son Robert W.P. Seeley and a grandson, Tony Moss.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. John Hodge, pastor of the Jamestown United Methodist Church officiating. Virginia will be laid to rest at the Trinity Reformed Cemetery, Fairfield Twp. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.
The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church, 15439 State Hwy. 285, Conneaut Lake, PA. 16316
