Sally Jean Seeley passed away peacefully on October 22, 2019 at the age of 86 at Hale Creek Manor in Hale, MI. She was born on January 9, 1933 in Saginaw, MI to Charles & Catherine (Edmond) Burr. Sally married Richard David Seeley on June 28, 1958 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Saginaw. They were blessed with four children: Wendy (Edward) Wadowski, Charles (Carrie) Seeley, Cathy (Chris) Kipp and Kitty (Scott) DeVuyst. She was a wonderful grandmother to Jason (Stephanie) Brown, Aaron (Erin) Brown, Jon (Sarah) Wadowski, Jason Wadowski, Joe (Javinah) Wadowski, Alicia (Chris) Kreh, Courtney (Eric) Amos, Morgan Seeley, Alex, Justin, and Nathan Kipp and Shelby DeVuyst. And she was blessed to be a great grandmother of: Dakota, Payton, Ethan, Hunter, Isla, Grant, Reagan, Jean and Josiah. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sharon (Otto) Krueger. Sally & Richard lived in Breckinridge for 35 years, retiring to Sally’s family home in South Branch, MI where they resided for 25 years. Sally was a gifted musician with a beautiful singing voice. She loved horses and animals of all kinds and she truly loved people. She was a graduate of Saginaw High School, Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing, and Central Michigan University. She was Registered Nurse at the former Saginaw General Hospital and the former Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma. In 1990 Sally studied to become a lay minister at St. Batholomew’s Episcopal Church in Mio. She continued to deliver many heartfelt sermons on God’s love into her 80’s. Sally lived her faith in Jesus, and was devoted to her husband and family. We will surely miss her, but we are confident in our hope in Christ that we will see her again. Sally was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Richard; her parents; sister, Peggy; sister-in-law and husband, Pauline (Francis) Arch. Per family wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Mio with Fr. Allan Feitner officiating with inurnment in Oak Grove Cemetery in South Branch.
