FORMER WALLACEVILLE WOMAN DIED IN WARREN

Mrs. Sally Ann Seely, widow of Rufus Parker Seely, for many years a resident of the Wallaceville community, died Thursday at 7:15 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Sweeting in Warren, aged nearly 95 years. Death was due to the infirmities of years. She had been with the daughter in Warren for the past five years.

On October 7, 1861, the deceased was married to Mr. Seely, who died 15 years ago. For over 50 years she was a member of the Diamond United Brethren church and enjoyed a wide acquaintance throughout the Wallaceville vicinity. A foster son, Lee R. Davison, resides on the homestead. Besides the daughter and Mrs. Davison, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Alice Clark of Geneva, and a son, E. Dayton Seely of Oil City, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Prayer service will be held at the Sweeting home in Warren this (Saturday) evening at 7:30 o’clock and funeral services will be conducted from the McKinley funeral home at Chapmenville, Sunday at 2 p.m. with interment in Diamond cemetery.

Two hymns were sung by friends of Chapmanville, “Asleep in Jesus” and “Abide With Me.” She was carried to her last resting place by her grandsons, Clare and Willis Seely of Oil City, Everett and Francis Davison of Diamond, Dale Clark of Meadville, and a grandson-in-law, Harry Nuter of Warren.
