Ruth Seely
Port Huron – Ruth Seely, 90, of 3461 Gratiot Ave., died Thursday, Sept. 8, 1983, in the Evangelical Home after a long illness.
She was born April 15, 1893, in Port Huron Township. She married Gilbert B. Seely in 1915 in Port Huron. He died in 1951.
Mrs. Seely was a life member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
She is survived by three sons, Gilbert “Bud”, Lansing, William T., Marysville, and Raymond C., Port Huron; two daughters, Florence Henkel, Birmingham, and Mrs. Granville (Marie) Firth, Smiths Creek; two brothers, Angus Sloan, Sparlingville; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Marie Sloan; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at noon Saturday in the Arthur Smith Funeral Homes-North Chapel. The Rev. Russell H. McKenzie will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Seely’s grandsons.
Visiting is from 4 to 9 p.m. today.
