Robert I. Seeley, age 91, of Campbell, NY passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Robert was born August 23, 1924 in Lewisville, PA to the late Ira I. and Katherine E. (Heath) Seeley. Robert was endearingly known by many as “Bobby”. He married his beloved Marion A. Allen on August 26, 1960.

Robert served in the Army during World War II from 1944 to 1946 as a paratrooper and was a Purple Heart recipient. After returning from the war, Robert farmed, and attended night classes at Corning Community College obtaining two Associate Degrees. He also was employed over 30 years as a welder and in maintenance at the Polly-O Dairy in Campbell, NY and retired in 1986.
Robert was a wonderfully devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife: Marion (Allen) Seeley; two daughters: Mary Katherine Savercool of Philadelphia, PA and Jo Sue (Gary) Nash of Painted Post, NY; three sons: Raymond (Connie) Seeley of Campbell, NY, Dale (Kaye) Seeley of Campbell, NY and Joseph (Michelle) Seeley of Campbell, NY; and his grandchildren: Melissa, Zachariah, Augustus, Jessica, Katherine, Alicia, Leilani, Karin, Stephania and Christopher. He was predeceased by a grandson: Isaiah.

Robert is survived by his brother, Charles (Nikie) Seeley of FL and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his three sisters and brothers and their spouses: Edith (Leroy)Wood, Josephine (Phillip) Ruocco, Margaret (John)Thompson, Lyndon(Reta) Seeley, and William(Georgie) Seeley.

Robert was life time member of the Campbell American Legion, VFW, and the AMVETS FL44. He attended Curtis Baptist Bible Church of Campbell NY. Robert was an avid reader, photographer, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and restoring houses.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Curtis Baptist Church, 4297 Tannery Road, Campbell, NY, 14821 on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 1:00 pm followed by a celebration of Robert’s life at the Campbell American Legion from 2:00-5:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Robert’s name may be made to the Curtis Baptist Bible Church (see address above) or the Thurston Christian Church, 7511 County Rd. 333,Campbell, NY,14821, or to charity of one’s choice .
