Robert D. Seely 83, a lifelong resident of Hancock Co. passed away at his home October 5, 2011. He was born December 3, 1927 to the late Tarly and Carl Seely. Robert married Bertha M. (Whisler) Seely July 3, 1948. He retired from Navistar in Indianapolis after 31 years of service and was an avid farmer for years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Survivors include two daughters; Vicki Reeves of Greenfield, JoAnn (John) Holt of Greenfield, son; Robert W. Seely of Greenfield, sister; Phyllis Robbins of Franklin, Carolyn Yeager of New Palestine, Sue Leedy of Ashland, OH., brother; Leon Seely of New Castle, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his wife Bertha in 2008, daughter; Barbara and son-in-law Ronnie Patton, sister; Doris Vest, grandson, Jesse Reeves. Funeral service will be Saturday October 8, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Condo and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mc Cray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
