Richard ‘Rick’ A. Seeley, 40, of Bethany passed away at 6:31 a.m. Wednesday August 28, 2019 in his residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday September 7, 2019 in St. Isidore Catholic Church, Bethany. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday September 3, 2019 in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan. Rite of Committal and Burial will be in St. Isidore Cemetery, Bethany. Memorials are suggested to the Education Fund for Lincoln Seeley at the Scott State Bank.
Rick was born March 22, 1979 in Decatur the son of Mark and Judi Tueth Seeley. He had worked for Brush Enterprises in Bethany and then was a blender for ADM in Decatur. Rick was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, had been a member of the Bethany Fire and Ambulance Service for 15 years and had been the assistant football coach for Sullivan High School. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends and tending to his homestead farm.
Surviving are his life partner Brittney Cheatham of Bethany; parents Mark and Judi Seeley of Bethany; children Lincoln Seeley, Annabelle Cheatham and Coen Hall all at home; brother Scott (Shecanna) Seeley and nephew Stone Seeley of St. Louis; uncles Patrick Tueth of Blue Island, Mike (Brenda) Seeley of Taylorville and Pat (Brenda) Seeley of Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
