ADDISON – Reed E. Seeley, 48, of Manley Hill Road, Addison, died today, Nov. 9, 1981 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Pa. following a long illness.
Born Feb. 21, 1933 in Westfield, Pa., he was the son of Charles and Bertha Allen Seeley. He married LaRae VanCise Aug. 28, 1954 in Harrison Valley, Pa.
He was employed by Corning Glass Works, having worked in the B and C Factories until taking disability leave in 1969. He was a member of American Flint Glass Workers Union Local 1,000 and a member of Addison Bible Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his wife, LaRae; three sons, Michael Seeley of Addison, Reed Seeley, Jr. .. missing text.. home; three daughters, Micheline of Addison RD 4, Mrs. Rick (Sandra) Putnam of Addison and Pennie, at home; two grandchildren; two brothers, Lester of Corning and Earl of Coudersport; five sisters, Reva Perigo of Corning, Dorothy Black and Ella Meacham, both of Coudersport, Atha Lewis of Troupsburg, Bernice Mangelsen of South Dakota; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the H.P. Smith and Son Funeral Home in Addison Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be there Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Alfred Blackwell, his pastor officiating. Burial will be in Wood Corners Cemetery, Town of Tuscarora.
