Raymond Seeley

Raymond Seeley, 16 Grove St., Carbondale, died Thursday night at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, following an illness.  He was the husband of the former Jule O’Hara, who died in 1995.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late Ralph and Mary Roe Seeley, he was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church and Knights of Columbus Council 329, both of Carbondale.  He was employed as a machinist for the Hendricks Manufacturing Co., Carbondale, prior to retirement, and was past president of the Machinists’ Union.  He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are a son, John, Jermyn; two daughters, Carol Brennan, Heart Lake, Jermyn RD 2, and Jane Davis, Carbondale; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia; and two brothers, Edgar and John.

The funeral will be Monday from the Brennan and Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.  Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.

Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
