Raymond Earl Seeley, 77
ASHTON – Raymond Earl Seeley 77, died suddenly from natural causes July 12, 2001, at his home in Ashton. He was born March 22, 1924, at Ashton, Idaho, the son of Alvin W. and Minnie Barrickman Seeley. He grew up in the Ashton area where he graduated from High School. He also attended business college in Twin Falls, Idaho. During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy and was reactivated during the Korean War. He married Joyce Rust on May 22, 1950, at Elko, Nev. He worked for various construction companies, and they lived in various parts of the United States. He eventually worked for Burggraf Construction for 29 years, and was a very proud and loyal employee. They lived in the Idaho Falls area for many of those years. After his retirement in l988, they moved back to the Ashton area where they have since resided. He enjoyed playing golf, cards, fishing, bird hunting, and getting out of the snow and going to Boulder City, Nev., for the winters. He was especially fond of his Labrador retriever dogs. He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Ashton; siblings, Hyrum Seeley and Mildred Seeley, both of Ashton, Harold Seeley of Twin Falls, Idaho, Kenneth Seeley of Salem, Ore., and Kathyrne Elg of Eagle, Idaho. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters. Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Ashton Pineview Cemetery. Family will meet with friends Monday from 1 p.m. until services at the Methodist Church in Ashton. The Ashton American Legion Post #89 will perform military rites. Arrangements are under the direction of Bidwell Funeral Home in St. Anthony.
