Ray Seeley Rites Held at Taber

VAUXHALL – (HNS) – A large number of friends and relatives of the late Ray Seeley, commonly known as “Happy,” who was instantly killed on Friday night when his tractor overturned in the ditch, pinning him down by the head, gathered at the Catholic church, Taber, at 10:30 Monday morning to pay their last respects to the deceased.  Father Lyons conducted the burial service and interment took place in the Taber cemetery.  His brother, Darrel Seeley, who is at present in the district in charge of a road crew, was present, also a sister, Mrs. Walter Wellender of Berkeley, California, who arrived by plane.  Another sister, Mrs. Ellis Forcen of Rock Lake, North Dakota, was unable to be present.  Wilfrid McAndrews came down from Calgary.

Pallbearers were Wm. McKenzie, Guido Bonnetti, Adrian McAndrews, Jerome McAndrews, Tommy Parkinson and Tommy Miller, all close friends of the deceased.

Ray Glen Seeley was 29 years of age at the time of his death and had been brought up in the southeastern part of the province.  The sympathy of the whole district goes out to his yound widow, the former Irene McAndrews, and his little son, Harry, in their sudden bereavement.

Hold Funeral Of Tractor Victim

TABER – (HNS)  Funeral services for the late Ray Seeley who was killed when a tractor over-turned on the Vauxhall road on Saturday last, were held on Monday morning in the Catholic Church.  A large crowd of neighbors and friends was in attendance.  Mr. Seeley was a son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. W. McAndrews who reside north of the river.

CRASSEY LAKE – (HNS) – The district was saddened on Saturday to learn of the sudden death in Vauxhall of Ray “Happy” Seeley.  “Happy” was well known here, having attended the Chamberlain school.  His grandfather, Seth Dunwoody, lives here as does his aunt, Mrs. Wm. Bishop.
