Ramona Grace Seeley, 95, of Leeton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.

Romona was born December 23, 1922, in Savanna, Illinois, the daughter of Bertrand E. and Evanelia M. (Moser) Sartwell. After graduating from Savannah High School, she became a secretary for Midway Oil Co. in Moline, Illinois. Ramona was married to Robert M. Seeley on March 12, 1945, in Rock Island, Illinois. The couple moved to San Francisco, California, where she was an auditor with the Red Cross. The couple then relocated to Los Angeles.

In 1948, the couple returned to Savanna, after moving to several states, they then moved to Iowa City, Iowa, where Ramona earned a B.S. in education from the University of Iowa in 1970. Ramona taught Special Education in the Kansas City, Missouri, School District. Her beloved husband, Robert, preceded her in death in 1987. She served in the Peace Corps from 1992-1994. Ramona was a dedicated disciple of Christ and an ordained Evangelist minister in the Community of Christ Church. Throughout her life she served many roles in the church from an Appointee wife, Sunday School Teacher, Camp Counselor, Co-Pastor, and mentor for College Youth at UCM. She shared her faith and love generously with all she met.

Her survivors include two daughters: Debra Seeley (Dennis Kowalski) of Iowa City, Iowa, and Ramona (Everett) Dale of Norman, Okla.; three sons: James (Linda) Seeley of Austin, Texas, Gerald (Jennie) Seeley of Leeton, Mo., and John (Beverly) Seeley of Independence, Mo.; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Ramona was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Sharrar; and four brothers, Ammon, Bertrand, Gerald and Stanley Sartwell.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Community of Christ Church in Warrensburg, Mo.
