Mrs. G.B. Seely Is Taken By Death, Funeral Friday

Mrs. George B. Seely, 65, long time resident of this section, died Tuesday afternoon in Claremore Health Center following an extended illness.

A native of Missouri, Jessie Lula Pearl Seely was born April 19, 1903 in Missouri.  As a girl she moved to Oklahoma where she has since made her home.  The family lived born years in Winganon district, moving to Chelsea when her husband retired.

Mrs. Seely and her husband celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary October 14.  They were married in 1922 in Nowata.

She was a member of the Baptist church.

Surviving is the husband; five sons, Jay Sanders of Claremore, George Seely of Vinita, Jim Seely of Wichita, Kan., Bob and Fred Seely, Tulsa; six daughters, Dorothy Melson of Coqueville, Oregon, Edna Hartness of Shelbyville, Texas, Glyndolla Barnes, Norma West, Betty Elliott and Irene Martin, Tulsa; and two sisters, Nora Jones of Stafford, Kansas, and Bessie King, Washington.

Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Baptist church by the Rev. James A. Kenth.

Burial will be in Chelsea cemetery under direction of Paul Merriott Funeral Services.
