MRS. HENRY SEELY DIES AT MINNEAPOLIS HOSPITAL

The remains of Mrs. Henry Seely of Excelsior, Minn., a former resident of Saratoga township, who passed away at the University hospital in Minneapolis, March 12, 1931, were brought to Henry and the funeral was held at the Saratoga M.E. Church on Tuesday, March 17, at 11 a.m., Rev. G.W. Kinsman of the Henry M.E. Church, in charge. The singing was rendered by Mrs. Kinsman and Mrs. Pogemiller, with Mrs. Charles Bourdette at the organ.

Interment followed in the Saratoga cemetery. The casket bearers were Elmer Cain, Everett Newman, Howard Salisbury, Wm. Durling and Mervin Harrison.

Jennie Salisbury, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Salisbury, was born in Saratoga township, Marshall county, Ill., July 11, 1869, and entered into rest, as stated above, after an illness of some eight months, aged 61 years, 8 months and 1 day.

She was married to Henry Seely in Saratoga, November 29, 1887, and he with three daughters, survive, viz: Mrs. Wm. Jensen of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. G.W. Flowers of Chicago, and Mrs. Jos Bedore of Marshall, Minn. Her aged mother, two brothers, T.E. and C.A. Salisbury, four sisters, Mrs. C.C. Durling, Mrs. George McAtee, Mrs. Bert Newman and Mrs. Clara Schrader, and 16 grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Seely was a member of the M.E. Church and of Rebekah lodge No. 26 at Excelsior, Minn., in both of which she was deeply interested and an indefatigable worker. She was a faithful wife and loving mother, and those whom she leaves will cherish her memory.

Those accompanying the remains and attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Salisbury of Mankato, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Durling of Blairstown, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Flowers and son of Chicago.
