Janet C. Seely

Janet C. Seely, 71, passed away on Monday (June 13, 2011) at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, Ala.

Janet was born Aug. 5, 1939 to the late Clifford E. and Virginia ( Cox) Easter in Terre Haute, Ind. She was a member of the Hyde Park Methodist church and later the Lewis Center United Methodist church. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., and later went on to receive her master’s degree at University of Cincinnati. She taught for 32 years in the Cincinnati Public Schools as a special ed teacher. Janet loved spending time with her grandchildren more than anything. They were her pride and Joy. She loved her family very much and enjoyed taking them on vacation including her extended family.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Seely; daughter Deborah (Seely) Lantz; son-in-law, Ken-neth Lantz; grandchildren, Nicholas and Elizabeth Lantz; and nieces, Joy Pryor, Tracey Boiseeau and families.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Charles Seely; and her sister, Gwen Raines.

A private Celebration of Life ceremony was held at the Lewis Center United Methodist Church in Lewis Center Ohio on June 18.
