Helen Seely Of Algona Is Heart Victim

A well-known Algona lady, Mrs. Kenneth Seely, 59, succumbed to a heart attack at her home on South Hall street early Monday morning.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday) in the First Lutheran Church here, with Rev. Robert Lorenz officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery here and Hamilton-Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Jack Limbaugh, Mitch Taylor, Everett Hanna, Larry Hudson, Harold Sundet and Kyle Keith.

Helen Johnson, daughter of Victor and Patrina Johnson, was born at Algona July 30, 1910. She attended school here, graduating from Algona High School, then attended a business college at Milwaukee, Wise. She married Kenneth Seely at Omaha, Nebr. Jan. 31, 1932.

Mrs. Seely was employed through the years by several Algona firms, including Jack’s OK Tire Service where she was bookkeeper at the time of her death. Prior to that, she was bookkeeper for The Upper Des Moines. She was active in women’s groups of the First Lutheran Church here.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Kendra (Mrs. Keith Seely), North Highlands, Cal.; one son, Major Victor Seely, Ft. Belvore, Va.; one grandson; and three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Sorensen and Mrs. Emma Plumb, Algona, and Mrs. Lillian Anderson, Wahoo, Nebr.

Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
