Hayden Keith Seely

March 11, 2003 – October 18, 2016

Hayden Keith Seely returned home to live with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, while surrounded by family and friends that Hayden had touched throughout his short but memorable life.

Hayden was born on March 11, 2003, in Lubbock, Texas, to his parents Justus and Carole Seely. Hayden was a sweet and gentle young man, with a kind heart and a gracious spirit. He was always optimistic about the future and was continually helpful to others. His life was so full that in his absence he is already deeply missed.

As a young boy, Hayden was fascinated by trains. Later in life, Hayden loved Transformers, Pokémon, and Skylanders figures. By age 10, he had become a Minecraft fanatic, creating things that fascinated his family and friends with his “mining” prowess. More recently he loved Clash of Clans and would compete in “wars” together with his dad and sister whom were in the same clan. Hayden was excited about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. He often talked about serving a mission for his church when he was 18.

Although Hayden’s life ended too soon, we can rejoice in knowing that Hayden’s love and consideration for others has left a lasting influence. Hayden’s sense of humor brought his family so much joy and laughter. Hayden’s parents had often been told what a wonderful impression Hayden made on others.

With Hayden’s passing we learn that life is never guaranteed. He will forever remain in our hearts and we will miss him everyday. We were able to create wonderful memories together and it has been a privilege to be his parents.

Hayden is survived by his loving parents, Justus and Carole Seely of Boerne, Texas; Sister Tian Seely; Paternal Grandparents Joe and Joan Seely of Lubbock, Texas; Adopted Maternal Grandmother Terri Callahan; Aunt Josie and Uncle Wes Settle of Atlanta, Georgia; Aunt Jenny and Uncle Michael of San Antonio, Texas; Uncle Jeremy Seely of Lubbock, Texas; Aunt Jalene and Uncle Justin Armstrong of Frederick, Maryland; and eleven first Cousins.

Hayden was preceded by his maternal great grandparents Herman and LaNeve McCandless; His paternal great grandparents Boyd and Patricia Seely; His Maternal Grandfather Keith Richins and his Adopted Maternal Grandfather Tom Callahan.
