Gregory Wayne Seely

SEELY, GREGORY W. – It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected death of Gregory Wayne Seely of Bayswater, husband of Susan M. (Boyce) Seely, which occurred on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on January 21, 1958, he was a son of Mary Kathleen (Logan) Seely-Miller and the late Ralph Norman Seely. Greg was employed his whole career with Canada Post. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed his motorcycle, ATV, and boat, as well as his camp. He loved sitting on his verandah or his beach in Bayswater with his family admiring the view, and would always lend a helping hand to whomever needed it.

His greatest joy, however, was being “Papa” to his four grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye. In addition to his wife, Greg is survived by his mother, Mary Seely-Miller (Ron) of Bayswater; his children Kristen Elizabeth (Michael Robichaud) of Saint John, Jessica Mary (Fabian Cromwell) of Saint John; and Kyle Gregory of Bayswater; his precious grandchildren, Hannah Marie, Hailey Elizabeth, Shawnie Jessica, and Jude Michael Joseph; his siblings Ralph Seely (Catherine) of Rothesay, Norman Seely (Barb) of Rothesay, Gary Seely (Janice) of Bayswater, Glenn Seely (Vicki) of Bayswater, Brian Seely (Beth) of Summerville, and Kathy Miller (John) of Bayswater; his father-in-law, Tom Boyce; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Greg was predeceased by his father, Ralph N. Seely in 1995, and his mother-in-law, Betty Boyce on July 14, 2012.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, July 23, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter’s Church, 50 Clarendon Street, Saint John, on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer Society, or to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
