Gilbert Seely

BAY CITY – Gilbert Seely, 73, passed away Friday, May 20, 1994, in his home.

He was born July 28, 1920 in Port Huron.  He married the former Dorothy M. Burnett.  She preceded him in death March 11, 1970.

He was a veteran of World War II and was employed as a traffic manager at Michigan Elevator Exchange.

He is survived by a daughter Linda K. Chambers of Wilmington, N.C. two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert K. and Maria Seely of Bay City and James G. and Monique Seely of Lansing; eight grandchildren; a sister, Florence Henkel of Ann Arbor, and two brothers, William T. Seely of Marysville and Raymond Seely of Port Huron; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert B. and Ruth (Sloan) Seely and a sister, Marie Firth.

Services are 2 p.m. Sunday in the Penzien and steel Funeral Home in Bay City.  The Rev. James H. McLaurin will officiate.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Sunday.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
