Gerald “Rocky” Thomas Seely
SEELY Gerald “Rocky” Thomas Seely passed away at his home on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the age of 81. He was the son of the late Thomas S. Seely and Irene Bouy Seely. He is also preceded in death by his great grandson Dean Richard. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Rose Marie Seely, daughter Cathy Lambert and husband Ted Lambert. Grandfather of Nicole Lambert Richard (Daryl) and Shannon Lambert. Great Grandfather to Darah, Delilah and DJ Richard. Brothers Thomas S. Seely (Carolyn) and John T. Seely (Phyllis) and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Rocky graduated from S.J. Peters High School and then served his country in the United States Navy. Retiree from Western Electric Company, member of Knights of Columbus Council 3411 and American Legion, and usher at Our Lady of Divine Providence Church. He enjoyed sports and drank a few beers with many of his dearest friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Metairie Cemetery.
