JUSTIN, Oct. 20 – Funeral services for George W. Seely, 70 were conducted in the Baptist Church Sunday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. Hobart Sampson. Seely was born in Freestone County, Texas, Nov. 14, 1871, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Seely, who moved to Denton County two years later. Nov. 14, 1894 he was married to Miss Virgie McAlister of Jefferson. To this union were born 12 children of whom 10 survive. In 1902 he united with the Baptist Church at the Seely school house later moving his membership to Justin, where in 1915, he was ordained a deacon in which capacity he served until his death Saturday.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virgie Seely, and the following children: Arthur Seely, Sanger; Tom Seely, Justin; Roy Seely, Haslet; Walter Seely, Ponder; Horace Seely, Colorado City; Marvin Seely, Bremerton, Wash.; Earl, Homer, Virgil and Charlie Seely, Fort Worth; 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Burial was in the Justin Cemetery.
