George H. Seely, 49 year-old salesman for the Maytag Co., was found dead in the living room of his northwest Lawton home Wednesday afternoon when officers answered an almost incoherent telephone call from his wife. The body is partially visible in (the) photo made through a plate glass picture window at the rear of the home, 2225 N. 46th, looking through a dining area to the front of the living room. Investigation was continuing today to determine the cause of death. Mrs. Seely is shown in upper right portion of the photo as she was being question by police officers.

Wife Hospitalized

His wife, Mrs. Geneva Elizabeth Seely, was hospitalized at memorial hospital.

County Attorney Warren H. Crane said an autopsy was started Wednesday evening by a Lawton pathologist, Dr. Lowell F. Thornton to determine the cause of the victim’s death.

Officers received a partial report from the pathologist shortly before noon today.

In the partial report, Dr. Thornton said evidence indicated the victim had a mild coronary or heart condition which may have contributed to his death.

Seely was born Dec. 6, 1901, (sic) in Greenbush, Kas., and came to Lawton in 1946 from Chickasha. He was a member of the First Christian church.

Survivors include his wife of the home, two sons: Airman Second Class Stanley J. Seely, Austin, Tex., and Thad H. Seely, El Reno; four daughters, Georgie Anne Seely, Martha Marie Seely, Christie Jane Seely, all of El Reno, and Sharon Sue Hubbard, of Maine; one step son, Wendell Fobes, U.S. Air Force stationed in Alaska and seven sisters.

Services are pending with Ritter Funeral home.

Rites are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Ritter funeral home chapel for George H. Seely, 49, of 2225 N. 46th, who was found dead at his home Wednesday afternoon.

Conducting the services will be Rev. W.S. Parish, pastor of the First Christian church. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva, of the home, two sons, Airman Second Class Stanley J. Seely, Austin, Tex. and Thad H. Seely, El Reno.: four daughters, Georgie Anne Seely, Martha Marie Seely, Christie Jane Seely, all of El Reno, and Sharon Sue Hubbard, Maine: one step son, Wendell Fobes, U.S. Air Force, stationed in Alaska and seven sisters.
