Fred Graves Seely

Fred Graves Seely, aged 40 years, of New York, formerly of Wellsboro, died March 12. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Seely and was born in Wellsboro. He is survived by his widow and son, Fred; four sisters and two brothers, Harry M. Seely, of Caldwell, N.J.; Lewis, Mrs. J.E. Towner, Mrs. Harry W. Gaither and Mrs. Sara Seely, all of New York, and Mrs. C.F. Erway, of Middlebury. An aunt, Mrs. Helen Cenevery, of Wellsboro, also survives.

Death of Fred G. Seely

Fred Graves Seely, aged about 40 years died at his home in New York City last Saturday morning, after suffering from the ravages of cancer of the face for the past year.

He was born in Wellsboro, a son of Sophia and Charles Seely. When a young man he moved to New York and he soon resided there gradually working to the top in his line of business.

Besides his wife, Margaret, he leaves a son Fred Jr., four sisters and two brothers, Harry M. Seeley, of Caldwell, N.J., Lewis, Mrs. J.E., Towner, Mrs. Harry W. Gaither and Mrs. Sara Seely, all of New York and Mrs. C.F. Erway of Middlebury, R.D. An aunt, Mrs. Helen Cenevery, of this place, also survives.

Mr. and Mrs. Seely frequently visited relatives in Wellsboro where he had many friends who regret his untimely passing. He was a successful business man, holding a responsible position with the American Laundry Machine Company at the time of his death.
