Frank B. Seely

Frank B. Seely, son of William Harvey and Elizabeth Jane Seely, was born Aug. 15, 1884 near Clearwater, Nebr., and passed away March 11, 1943, aged 58 years, 6 months and 26 days.

When twelve years of age he moved with his parents to a farm west of Maynard. Here he spent the early years of his life, receiving his education in the rural school near his home.

With the exception of a few years in the west, his entire life was spent in the Maynard community.

Being by nature of a quiet and retiring disposition he was slow to make acquaintances, but a true and loyal friend to those whom he knew best.

Since the death of his father eight years ago, he has made his home with his aunt, assisting her faithfully, and when stricken by illness in the last few months of his life, she care for him to the full measure of her devotion.

He leaves to mourn his passing his aunt, Mrs. Flora Seely, a sister, Mrs. Arlie C. Stewart of Des Moines, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Delsing funeral home, P.P. Jennison officiating. The floral tributes were cared for by Mesdames L.H. Buenneke and G.C. Mittlestadt. Two songs, “Jesus, Lover of My Soul” and “More About Jesus” were sang by E.H. Stewart and Gerald Warnke. Pallbearers were Geo. Mears, G.C. Mittlestadt, Oscar Gilley, Rudolph Rueckert, Irvin Patridge, and Oscar Sykes. Interment was in Long Grove cemetery.
