LINDSBORG – Eva L. Seely, 85, Lindsborg, died Friday, May 12, 2000, at Lindsborg Community Hospital.

Mrs. Seely was born Eva L. Parker on May 20, 1914, at Wayside, Okla., and have lived in Lindsborg for 60 years, moving from Hutchinson. She was a cook at Riverside Café, Swedish Crown and McPherson Country Club. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg, the Gray Ladies, Delaware Tribe of Indians and Cherokee Tribe of Indians and was a former Girl Scout leader.

Her husband, George F., died in 1981.

Survivors include a son, Walter K. of Salina; a daughter: Shirley Prestin of Killeen, Texas; a sister, Patricia Quinton of Bartlesville, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg, the Rev. Dave Smith officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hays Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg 67455, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.
