Elizabeth A. Seely, 82, of Claremont Farms, formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 26, 1924, in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late George G. and M. Edith (Bolton) Anderson.
She was a member of Shiremanstown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, and was devoted to her family and church community.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, W. Clare Seely, Sr., of Claremont Farms; three sons, William, Jr. and wife, Bonita of Mechanicsburg, Samuel and Judy of Waynesboro, NC, John and wife, Lynn of Martinsburg, WV; 2 daughters, Elizabeth Runk and husband, Leonard of Duncannon and Ruth Brown and husband, Bruce of Chesapeake, VA; 9 grandchildren, Lisa Oren of Elizabethville, Megan Seely of Lemoyne, Matthew Seely and wife, Kelly Seely of Wormleysburg, Andy Seely of Orlando, FL, Thomas Seely of Mechanicsburg, Jessica, Owen and Nathan Runk of Duncannon and Smith Brown of Chesapeake, VA; and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, George Anderson and wife, Lavinia of Dillsburg, and a sister, Joan Geating and husband, Jack of Abington.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Shiremanstown United Methodist Church, 125 East Main Street, Shiremanstown, PA 17011, with the Rev. John L. Kurtz officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park immediately following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church.
