Elray L. Seely

White Hall, July 11 – Elray Seely, prominent Greene county farmer, died at 1 p.m. today at his home west of here, following an extended illness.

Remains were removed to the Dawdy funeral home where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in White Hall cemetery. Remains will be removed from the funeral home to the residence Saturday evening.

ELERY SEELY DIES AT HOME NEAR WHITE HALL

Elery L. Seely, prominent farmer living west of White Hall, died at his home at one o’clock Friday afternoon July 11, following a long illness. Mr. Seely was born November 18, 1876, the son of Anthony and Lora Hubbard Seely. He was united in marriage with Miss Pearl Wilkinson who survives him.

He is survived also by his mother, Mrs. Lora Seely of White Hall; four children, Mrs. Dwight Sykes, a son Carl Seely, of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; and Raymond, Westerh…. and Kenneth Seely of White Hall; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Clyde Linder of Washington, D. C. and two brothers, Dr. H. H. Seely of Jerseyville and L. L. Seely of White Hall. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Dawdy Funeral Home, with burial in White Hall cemetery.
