Eldon Seely of Wheeling

Eldon Amos Seely. 70, a retired farmer and lifelong resident of Wheeling, died Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock at Livingston Manor.

He was born Jan. 28, 1909 at Wheeling, son of Lester and Mary E. Butler Seely.  Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Richard Piscotere, Colusa, Calif. and Mrs. Jess Knouse, Placerville, Calif.; a nephew, Robert Butler, Blue Springs, sister-in-law, Mrs. Faye Butler, Colusa.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Wheeling Christian Church with the Rev. Lloyd Morgan officiating.  The casket will be closed at the start of the service.  Burial will be in the Wheeling cemetery.

The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 8:30 at the Norman Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cancer fund.

Eldon Seely rites at Wheeling

Funeral services for Eldon Amos Seely, 70, of Wheeling, who died Monday, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Wheeling Christian Church with the Rev. Lloyd Morgan officiating.  “How Great Thou Art: and “Some Day” were sung by Glendoris Maberry and Marjorie Murry.

Burial was in the Wheeling cemetery, under direction of the Norman Funeral Home.  Pallbearers were Lawrence Arthaud, Lloyd Coleman, Ralph Head, Cecil Switzer, Eugene Waite and Lucian Walkup.
