EARL H. SEELY SUCCUMBS TO HEART ATTACK

Held National Offices; His Sister Resides In Ogden

SALT LAKE CITY – March 13. – A heart illness proved fatal Thursday to Earl H. Seely, 46, president and manager of the noted sheep raising concern, John H. Seely & Sons Livestock company of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Seely had been in Salt Lake since Monday on business. Death occurred at the Cullen hotel.

Mr. Seely was a director of the National Woolgrowers’ association and a director of the National Rambouillet Sheepgrowers’ association.

He was born in Mt. Pleasant, December 10, 1884, the son of John H. and Margaret Peel Seely. He spent his youth in Mt. Pleasant and received his early education there. He was graduated from the L.D.S. business college at Salt Lake in 1901. He married Miss Louie Miller of Salt Lake in 1910. Since leaving school Mr. Seely had been associated with the livestock company.

Mr. Seely was an active Republican in Sanpete county, and was a member of the Lions club in Mt. Pleasant and the Mt. Pleasant Gun club.

Besides his widow, Mr. Seely is survived by five children, Miss Maurine Seely, a student at the L.D.S. college; John G., Marjorie Lenard, Earl Lester and Calvin Miner Seely, all of Mt. Pleasant; eight brothers and sisters, Mrs. Albert Merrill and Mrs. O.E. McGahen, both of Salt Lake; Mrs. Robert H. Hinckley of Ogden; Mrs. Sterling Erickson, J. Leo Seely, Chesley P. Seely and J. Leonard Seely, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Oliver D. Seely of New York City.

President of Mt. Pleasant Company Succumbs to Heart Attack

Earl H. Seely, 46, president and general manager of the John H. Seely & Sons’ Livestock company of Mt. Pleasant, died at his room in the Cullen hotel at 12:45 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Seely had been in Salt Lake since Monday on business. He was fatally stricken with a sudden heart attack on Thursday morning.

Mr. Seely was a director of the National Wool Growers’ association and a director of the National Rambouillet Sheep Growers’ association.

He was born in Mt. Pleasant, December 10, 1884, the son of John H. and Margaret Peel Seely. He spent his youth in Mt. Pleasant and received his early education there. He was graduated from the L.D.S.
