DEBORAH “DEBBIE” LOUISE PECK SEELY
Debbie died peacefully at home surrounded by her family November 24, 1994.
“Don’t grieve for me for now I am free.” I have fought many battles with this brain tumor, but in the end I have lost the war. Debbie always said, “Don’t cry for me, but celebrate the joy of my life through my family and friends.”
Debbie was born October 14, 1952 to Roy L and Louise Emery Peck of Salt Lake City, Utah. Married Kenneth Jay Seely on June 30, 1972 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Debbie graduated from West High School. She was a catcher for the Shamrocks, a girls’ softball team. She served in the Cub Scouts and was honored by being asked to serve on the roundtable.
She received many awards for her services in Scouting-too many to mention. She worked at the U of U Hospital where she would talk to people that were going through chemotherapy, which brought her a lot of joy. She also had many friends at the hospital.
Survived by husband, Ken; their and children, Roy and Kimberly; mother and father; sister, Aynnette and Mike Booth; brothers, Rick and Carrie Peck; Kevin Peck; grandma, Rose Peck, and many relatives and caring friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Ida Killeen and the people from Community Nursing and Hospice: Tony, Frank, Carolyn, Susie, Stephanie, Jeannie, Harriet and all the other people that helped.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28 at 12 noon, in the Lakeridge 7th Ward, 3500 South 7731 West. Friends may call at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, SLC, Sunday 6-8 p.m. and at the church, Monday, 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Valley View Mem. Park, 4100 South 4400 West.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to help defray funeral costs, are appreciated.
