Cora Guymon Seely

Cora Guymon Seely, age 94, passed away peacefully Feb. 3, 1999 at the home of her daughter in Provo just two days shy of her 95th birthday.

She was born Feb. 5, 1904 in Huntington, Utah to Edward Montell and Minerva Mackelprang Guymon. She married Karl A. Seely on July 1, 1925 in Castle Dale, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After his death in 1946 she married Leland Bohleen in Castle Dale. He also preceded her in death.

As a member of the LDS church she taught Primary, served as Primary president, was a visiting teacher supervisor and worked in the name extraction program. She found satisfaction in doing readings and reciting poetry for her family and others. She was generous, patient, without guile and loved her family deeply.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Betty Jane and Lyle Poulsen of Provo; Guy and Carolyn Seely of Clawson; James and Joyce Seely of Centerville; Montell and Kathryn Seely of Castle Dale; and Dorothy and Gary Barlow of Bountiful; 33 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Orilla Ungerman of Salt Lake City; Maurine Nielson of Provo; and brothers, Grant Guymon and Hal Guymon of Huntington. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren, five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999 at 12 noon in the Castle Dale Stake Center. Friends may call Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Castle Dale Cemetery.
