Clyde James Seely
Clyde James Seely, 79, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2016. He was born March 2, 1936, to James Samuel and Ada May (Browning) Seely in Lovington, NM.
Clyde was a born cowboy who loved the Lord. He did beautiful leatherwork and loved to rope. He was a quiet man who enjoyed his family and spending time with them. He led a full life with life long friends who were very special to him.
Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Ada May Seely.
Those left to carry on Clyde’s heritage are his wife of 56 years, Mary, of the family home; sons: Sam and wife, Karen Seely of Corona, NM, and Matt Seely of Roswell, NM; grandchildren: Tara Seely of Amarillo, TX; Lindsey and husband Billy Brummett of Magnolia, Arkansas; Tyler Seely of Artesia, NM; Hannah, Carly and Wyatt Seely of Roswell, NM; A great-granddaughter, Marley Richardson of Magnolia, Arkansas; brothers: George Seely of Seattle, WA; James Seely of Roswell, NM; sisters: Rose Alice and husband Gene Johnson of Roswell, NM; Sandra and husband, Richard Smith of Orange, TX; and Jeanette Wilson of Roswell, NM. Clyde is additionally survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Clyde will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Pastor Don Hayhurst will officiate.
