Clark B. Seely, 84, of 97 Salem Blvd., Berwick, died Thursday, May 15, 2003, at the Berwick Hospital Center.

Born May 27, 1918, in Beach Haven, he was a son of the late Howard and Jessie M. Cope Seely.

Educated in several one-room schools, Mr. Seely was a World War II Army veteran, serving in Luzon, the Philippines.

In his earlier years, he was employed as a mechanic for R.G. Smith and the late Henry Mowery, retiring in 1985 from Gay Car Dodge Sales.

Mr. Seely was involved with the Susquehanna Management Team.

He was a charter member of Woodland Bible Chapel, Hunlock Creek.

An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and typing his own flies, hunting, woodworking and camping.

His wife, the former Anna I. Dennis, died April 16, 1991. Three brothers also died previously: Morris, Ernest and Walter Seely.

He is survived by a daughter, Helen Reader; Berwick; a grandson; a brother, George H. Seely, Berwick; and seven sisters: Elizabeth Davis, Jessie Hosler, Mrs. Frank (Gladys) Peters, Mrs. Fred (Cora) Hummel and Mrs. Ike (Jeanette) Heller, all of Berwick; Mrs. Frank (Virginia) Barnes, Mifflinville; and Irene Engle, Palmyra, N.Y.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 110 Chestnut St., Berwick, with the Rev. Donald Heacock, officiating. Burial will be in Summerhill Cemetery.
