Carol C. Seely

Carol C. Seely, 93, of Arcadia passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton. Born Dec. 29, 1916, she was the daughter of Archie and Laura (Castor) Brown.

She was a 1935 graduate of Windfall High School. She enjoyed being a homemaker, but also worked as a cook at Hamilton Heights Schools for more than 20 years, and assisted her husband with their business, Seely Plumbing and Heating in Cicero. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Arcadia and a 50 year plus member of the Cicero Order of Eastern Star.

She married Hubert Wayne Seely on May 16, 1936. He preceded her in death in November 1995.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Sue (David) Pickett of Arcadia; brother, Jack Brown of Greentown; grandchildren, Denise Pickett Sicula of Frisco, Texas, Mark Allan Pickett of Altadena, Calif., Russell Wayne Pickett of Arcadia and Lee Ellen Hunter Graham of Atlanta; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Billy Lee Seely and Hubert Wayne Seely, Jr.; grandson, Robert Wayne Seely Hunter; brother, Kenneth Brown; and sister, Gretchen Brown Weismiller.

A memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.
