Bonnie Lee Seely

Bonnie Lee Seely (Roberts), 74, of West Palm Beach, FL, and originally of Bridgeville, DE, died September 12, 2015, at home. Ms. Seely was born November 14, 1940, at home in Wind Ridge, PA, the daughter of Leland and Audrey Milspaw. She was a 1958 graduate of Bridgeville High School and a 1964 graduate with honors of the University of Delaware. On October 20, 1961, she married Richard B. Seely in Elkton, MD and they had three children together. They divorced in 1980. During her lifetime she lived in Bloomfield, NJ; Crawfordsville, IN; Barrington, IL; St. John’s, Antigua; and Falls Church, VA, before residing in West Palm Beach. Always ready for any challenge, in her lifetime she was a beloved preschool teacher, real estate agent, car salesperson, tour manager, advocate for the aging, and an AmeriCorps VISTA member, in addition to the many other hats she graciously chose to wear. She was founder of the Calico Cat Nursery School in Crawfordsville, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a Parrothead. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, sewing and cooking. She never stopped seeking knowledge or finding ways she could contribute to others in a beneficial way. She had an affinity for people of cultures different than hers and enjoyed learning about and visiting with people from all over the world.

Ms. Seely is survived by her children, Richard Sean (Claire) Seely of St. Charles, IA, Lynn Seely (Jim) Unruh of Boynton Beach, FL, and Valorie Seely (Damian) Peduto of Durango, CO; six grandchildren, Erin and Anne Seely, Jay, Collin and Katey Unruh, and Sabrina Peduto; and one brother, Thomas Milspaw of Dagsboro, DE. She was preceded in death by her parents.

According to her wishes, a memorial service will be held at a later date in Crawfordsville, IN. Arrangements are being handled by Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL (quattlebaumfh.com). Donations can be made to the West Palm Beach Library Foundation to benefit children’s programs at the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach.
