Betty Louise Seely

(January 4, 1933 – June 10, 2013)

Betty Louise Seely, age 80, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, in her home.

She was born January 4, 1933, in Barry County, Missouri, the daughter of John C. and Gladys (Beck) Baker. On September 16, 1955, she was united in marriage to John Seely, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Dan Seely and his wife, Jennifer of Tulsa, Oklahoma and three grandchildren, John, Olivia and Andrew Seely.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one son, John Charles Seely, Jr.

Betty grew up and received her education in Cassville, where she graduated from high school. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Missouri University in Columbia. For thirty-three years Betty and John owned and operated Baker-Seely Grocery Store, retiring in 1991. She was an active member of Cassville First Baptist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. Betty also enjoyed playing golf at the Cassville Golf Club with family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 13, 2013, in Cassville First Baptist Church, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until service time Thursday in Cassville First Baptist Church.
