Bessie Millicent Seely

Mrs. Bessie Millicent Seely died at her home near Wallaceville, Saturday evening, Nov. 9, at 7:40, aged 37 years, with valvular heart trouble. Mrs. Seely had been in poor health for several years, and on last Tuesday took a chill. She gradually grew worse until the end came peacefully. She was conscious up until almost the last. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Miles and her mother preceded her about nineteen years ago. Mrs. Seely was born near Wallaceville and had lived here all her life. She was united in marriage to Audley Seely, about eight years ago, and to them four sons were born, Harry, aged 17; Glen, 14; Kenneth 12, and Donald 9. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and the four children and one sister, Mrs. Lester Thompson of Dempseytown. She was of a cheerful and loving disposition and a smile for everyone during her illness. She never murmured or complained, although scarcely able to attend to her household duties. She always looked on the bright side and bore her suffering with patience. She was a member of the Advent church for a number of years.

Funeral services in her memory were held at the home on Monday afternoon, at 2:30 o’clock, by Rev. L.A. Miller of the M.E. church. The services were private and the interment was made in the Wallaceville cemetery by the side of her mother. Those who came from a distance were Burk Seely of Toledo, O.; Mrs. Harry Billig of Centreville; Rutechison Miles and daughter of Breedtown, Shield Green and wife of Titusville, Clint Alcorn and wife of Fairview, T.V. Peebles and wife of Fairview.
